Michael Hust M.D.
Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist
Board-certified in interventional cardiology, general cardiology, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine. Dr. Hust has been an associate with Cypress Cardiovascular Institute since August of 2023. He currently serves as an associate professor at the University of Houston School of Medicine.
Training and Expertise
Dr. Hust completed his medical training at UT Health Houston McGovern Medical School, including his internship, internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship, and interventional cardiology fellowship. During his training, he gained first hand technical skills while performing over 450 percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), 150 peripheral interventions, and over 100 cases with cardiogenic shock requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support. He has expertise in treatment modalities for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). Additionally, Dr. Hust is certified in implantation of pulmonary arterial pressure monitors to slow heart failure progression.
Leadership and Philosophy
Dr. Hust believes in medical care that is patient-centered, compassionate, comprehensive and leading-edge. He is proud to bring his skill set from the prestigious Texas Medical Center to the Cypress area and is proud to serve his Texas community. Dr. Michael Hust is a native, seventh generation Texan and third generation Houstonian. Practicing medicine is a family tradition as Dr. Hust is also a third generation physician. He graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas with honors and received his bachelors of arts in both biology and business. Away from the hospital, Dr. Hust enjoys spending time with his wife, Molly, and their four beautiful children.
